Thank good. Loved this show when it started and still watched for some reason. Hated the character of Prentis and her wooden acting. Should have ended back when that dude left for Swat, imo.

Certainly for Youngsters. No where near as as dark or good as the Actual comics were.

100% accurate comments, though I still enjoyed it and am glad it finally made it to TV. Also a great cameo from Joe Hill as the paramedic in the last episode.

Surprised they have not filched everything collectible out of America despite being on for nearly ten years. I won’t tell you some of the behind the scenes intel. You may hate me and be disappointed with the way the show does business. Thanks to Jhigh, I stand corrected.

He is a good actor. Right now he’s one of the leads in “Stumptown” which I happen to watch. And like.

Jhigh03 -3 points 11 days ago.

I’m watching Stumptown also, and I’m enjoying it to but Almost Human(I think was the name) was good too and that got shit canned. On a side note, I didn’t realize that Stumptown was based on a comic book, thought that was interesting but not at all original in todays media landscape.

Power (2014) S6 E15
Jhigh03 -2 points 11 days ago*.

Also that first teaser they showed at the end, the 1989 flashback(great tho see Carl from Shameless in the roll of Tommy), is supposed to get a spin-off too. I’m guessing that was the Power:Book III, Raising Kainan 50 Cent has said that he would be working on that while the other creator would be focusing on the Book II continuation.

Power (2014) S6 E15
Jhigh03 -2 points 11 days ago.

And lastly, I wasn’t to happy with the second half of this final season at all. The format of made the whole thing feel drug out and really didn’t like seeing so many events replayed in each episode. To me that demonstrated lazy film making and falsely inflated the length of the episodes. and am more than a little pissed that in the end of ep.14, while Tommy was holding Ghost on the floor he clearly said “let her go”. Then pulled a bait and switch and when the scene was replayed the audio said”let him go”. The fact that they had to use something this lazy just to “surprise” people lets me know they really did not have a genuine way of keeping up the suspense

Power (2014) S6 E15

Now we gonna get Book:II with Tariq’s no talent having, a piece of wood has more range ass, get manipulated by more people. Not sure why this deserves a new title, execpt that we lost the two people we all tuned in to see. At least Sax is back, dude caught so many L’s I can’t help but pull for him a little. Nice to see Meth and M.J. Blige(Fresh off The Umbrella Academy).

60 Days In (2016) S6 E6
yellow_rose1 -1 points 14 days ago.

I agree I can’t see how Tony could have handled it any different. If I had started a fight with someone I wouldn’t expect a friend to step in and save the day. Justine started a fight with someone way out of his league maybe he should size up his opponent then decide if he’s worth the effort

Jhigh03 -4 points 13 days ago*.

He did 100% the right thing. He had them stop and if it would have gotten out of control I think he would have done more. But to tell the truth, what kind of lilk bitch gonna start a fight(throw the first punch even)then right away turn his back to the dude, lol.then once its over and you’ve basically called mercy, start talking trash again but only once a CO is between you. Then finally almost start crying while recalling the fight because you boy didnt help, lol,FFs. That white boy is straight bitch and I’d be embarrassed to go home after being shown on TV like that. He really has no Idea of the politics in jail. He was way to eager to jump into that cell with two other guys, and once Tony had said he was gonna look out for him means hje’s Tony’s property. And you can see where I’m going from there, that type of thing is not just in the movies, it’s real life, trust. keep quite and to urself for the most part, don’t borrow anything (even a pack of sugar). Keep your eyes facing forward and learn to be really good at Spades.

Armageddon (1998)
Badger -3 points 15 days ago. (Contains Spoilers)

I also love this film… in the same way I love Starship Troopers; it’s so bad that it comes full-circle and somehow becomes good again. Armageddon is NOT a good film, in any traditional sense, at all. For example: you think this film has a great story? To quote Ben Affleck, “You ever notice how everyone in these movies, they always have to be the best?”
“Bruce Willis is the best deep-core driller? I didn’t know they rated deep-core drillers. You know what I mean? Like, if you went around and asked somebody, ‘Who’s the best deep-core driller?’ How do you know? Who keeps track of these things?”
“I asked Michael why it was easier to train oil drillers to become astronauts than it was to train astronauts to become oil drillers and he told me to shut the fuck up. So that was the end of that talk. [Does Michael Bay voice] “You know, Ben, just shut up, OK? You know, this is a real plan.” I was like, “You mean it’s a real plan at NASA to train oil drillers?” and he was like, “Just shut your mouth!” See, here’s where we demonstrate that, because Bruce is gonna tell the guys that they did a bad job of building the drill tank. [With extreme sarcasm] See, he’s a salt-of-the-earth guy and the NASA NERDONAUTS don’t understand, uh, his salt-of-the-earth ways, his rough-and-tumble ways. [Just straight up laughing now] Like somehow they can build ROCKET SHIPS but don’t understand what makes a good tranny. Eight whole months? As if that’s not enough time to learn how to drill a hole, but in a week we’re gonna learn how to be astronauts? [Impersonating Willis’s character, Harry Stamper] “Oh one whole week? We’re gonna learn how to fly into space? I need my guys.” Why do you need ’em? “They’re the best.” Everyone’s the best. Why are they the best? “I don’t know, they just are.” I mean, this is a little bit of a logic stretch, let’s face it. They don’t know jack about drilling? How hard can it be? Aim the drill at the ground and turn it on.”
I’d actually recommend listening to the commentary, if you own a copy; it’s hilarious. Also did you notice how Bruce Willis’ character (Harry Stamper I think) is mentioned as having some kind of mental condition (his daughter claims that she became mentally older than him when she was still a child) and then it’s literally never mentioned again at any point in the film. No one at NASA seems to have any issues with putting a guy with the mental age of an 11 year old in charge of saving the planet, nor does Bruce Willis seem to put any effort into playing a 40 year old with a sub-13 mental age. An honorable mention has to go to, “HE HAS SPACE DEMENTIA!” That will always make me laugh so hard I almost piss myself.
In conclusion: almost nothing about this film is perfect but that doesn’t stop it from being awesome.

Jhigh03 -4 points 14 days ago.

FFs, really. You have got to be trolling to comment on an obvious Dig at here dad for being a meathead and claim it as a plot hole, lol You said one comment up that you didn’t mean to appear as overly combative, guess just normally combative then. Sure seems like your going out of your way to attack this film. And your wrong about This and Starship Troopers, they are both great cause the are both F’n great. Cuanuck Even said in his OG post why he dug this so much and I agree 100%, The themes of family and taking care of thgose we love far out trump the action(while great) a nd comedy.
Honestly now that I think about it, You seem very bitter towards this movie, to the point of being triggered even. It’s as if you were a cast member or part of the film crew on snoozer like Deep Impact.(Armageddon rip-off,BTW)

Armageddon (1998)
Badger -3 points 15 days ago.

Please google, “scientific mistakes in Armageddon”. There are over 160 (you spotted the most glaringly obvious but there are a LOT more)! And that’s just the actual scientific errors, not the logical incongruities/bizarre decisions which make no sense (say training oil drillers to be astronauts instead of the other fing way around. I don’t pretend to be either an oil driller or an astronaut but I’m pretty certain which one’s more difficult). I don’t know which lists of great 90s films you’re looking at but this film’s not usually on them at all. For example: Pulp Fiction, The Matrix, Terminator 2, Jurassic Park, the Shawshank Redemption, Goodfellas, the Silence of the Lambs, Schindler’s List, Titantic, Seven, Forrest Gump, the Sixth Sense, Fight Club, the Big Lebowski, Reservoir Dogs, Trainspotting, Good Will Hunting, Fargo, American Beauty, Groundhog Day. That’s 20 films from the 90s picking randomly and in no specific order which are widely regarded as better than this one. I could’ve easily done another 20 without mentioning this film.

Jhigh03 -3 points 14 days ago*.

obviously His fondness for thgis movie is his opinion, though I’m sure many here agree with him as I do. I agree some the movies you named could be considered better than this you named Titanic andf Good Will Huntingand I’m almost positive the later would not win a pop[ularity contest against Armagddon.

I will repeat the question again, for all.

How in the fuck can you watch 110+ episodes of a family struggling in every aspect of existence?? I mean like, i don’t even have depression for this to firstly exacerbate and it still feels like its not only dragging me down. But also because wealth inequality is so massive in countries where this show is popular, i feel that the implications of its story-line are purpose built for keeping the masses calm because…

“hey if this destitute and degenerate television family that is custom designed by corporate psychologists so that i feel like i relate to them, can own their own home while not a single one of them possess steady income and every other person in the country that resembles them is literally a bad day and a late paycheck away from being utterly homeless. There is no way that this show is sociological propaganda!!””

I used to live in LA, worked in the industry a bit. There used to be DVD quality screeners of everything everywhere this time of year but they’ve actually started to crack down and better track them. Many screeners are given to specific people with an identifier hidden somewhere in the data, most still leak it’s just not as prevalent as it once was.

Jhigh03 -1 points 1 month ago.

Acouple years ago it was pretty common to get screener quality copies of most films the week they were released. Unless it was a Marvel/Disney movie or some other very high profile flick. Studios were sending out the digital copies of the films to reviewers so i guess it was easy to steal/hack or whatever. Seems like around the time sony got hacked, big time, that all that stopped. Guess the studios wised up but does suck for us since I almost never watch a cam version, just not worth ruining the experince.

It’s quite a dark adaptation meant for an adult audience. I didn’t realise this until Scrooge dropped his first F-bomb. It touches on some delicate topics, has some very mild horror/violence and occasional bad language. I really enjoyed it. It doesn’t matter in which guise the story is told, it’s a great tale of redemption.
Both Tom Hardy and Ridley Scott are credited as Executive Producer.

well the sites would like to monopolize the traffic, what is funny though is links regularly steal links from each other, Primewire is by far the least cluttered and easiest site to use . Being able to set a personal tv schedule is like having an at home DVR without any of the maintenance.

I just gotta say, you will find a way to complain about anything. Usually It’s cause whatever show is “to American”, It’s not like they’re made in america for american audiences. Now the one show almost the entire site can agree is at the least entertaining , and here comes the rainy cloud that is Betamax(who was rendered obsolete because of porn, BTW)to complain about it being on a streaming service. Why does that bother you? Did you watch it on a streaming service, cause if so, CYA back over their and leave Mando and The Kid The fuck alone.
